There are chances that this may come to you as a surprise. Did you know that the shape of your face could tell a lot about your personality? Well if you did not, now you know. According to a face reading expert Jean Haner and the author of The Wisdom of Your Face, most people do not have distinct face shapes. Arguably, some people could have a mixture of square or round or oval whereas some do have a shape that you can clearly recognize. It may sound as a bluff or as if I am trying to generate some reaction to fill my comments section with reviews, but apparently, there is science behind it.

In her book, Haner states that she derived her various face reading techniques based on a 3,000 years old study on Chinese medicine. Not only does the shape of your face reveal your character, but also interestingly, your overall approach to life can be depicted. Your face is a map of your personality and as well as your whole life.

Below is a list of six kinds of face shapes and what they reveal. An oval shape is characterized by a wider forehead with a jaw that is narrower than the cheekbones. The face tapers down towards the chin, leaving the cheek bones prominently visible. A person with the type of shape always knows the right things to say in any situation, making someone feel at peace, comfortable and welcome. It is noted that sometimes they can be too focused on saying all the right things.

What another person perceives about them is what matters to them. The face shape is at times referred to as a Pear face shape. A triangle face is wide at the jaw-line and narrow on the forehead. The face seems to be highly angular and somehow bony. It is also not as common compared to others. The face shape means that the person usually wants to be in charge.

The narrower the face is at the top, the more you want to be in control. Holders of this faces are often said to be successful. The width and length of this face are almost the same. It is also characterized by an extensive hairline. The face is widest at the cheeks. The face means that you are a people’s person generous and often kind. You also put the needs of other peoples first, often attracting narcissistic and end up not getting what you want from the relationship.

Eventually, you will change when you realize that you are an over-giver, and stop making other a priority over your needs. A holder of this face shape has a wider hairline and jaw line. The forehead, jawline, and cheekbones are almost of the same width. Square and bony jaw line is a prominent feature.

People with the face-shape are said to have a sharp wit and analytical mind. According to Haner, it typically refers to someone who is taking big projects since they have a lot of stamina. According to Haner, men and women with this form tend to have a pointy chin. The face usually tapers toward the chin. The forehead tends to be broad and prominent.

Owners of this face shape are said to possess an incredible inner strength. If they have a goal, they will pursue it. Their strength should not be confused for stamina; it is their inner power. They also have strong intuition and are very creative. They can be very pushy if they are determined. A long face shape seemed to be somewhat elongated and stretched from the forehead to the chin.

Some holders of this shape have a notable prominent chin. It refers to someone who is very detail oriented and wants things done in their way. They also produce top quality work. They are also very precise with their words and communicate very well. However, they can be sharp with their words if you cross them in a wrong way.

It is difficult to define your shape. For instance, you might think that you have a round face, because, I mean, doesn’t everyone think so? A detailed examination of the shape of your jaw and the widest parts of your face will assist you in determining the shape of your face. However, be careful not to be biased into forcing yourself a particular face shape having read this article. If possible, tell a neutral person to determine it for you.

Migrants Arrivals to Europe this year Top 110,000

The number of migrants and refugees arriving in Italy and Greece since the start of the year has risen sharply compared to the same period 2015 and hundreds are stranded at European borders due to rising restrictions, aid agencies said on Tuesday. At least 102,500 people have landed on Greek islands including Samos, Kos and Lesbos this year, and 7,500 in Italy, the International Organization for Migration  IOM said in a statement.
We've reached that figure in two months as opposed to last year when it was reached by the summer, IOM spokesman Itayi Viriri told a news briefing. In 2015, the 100,000 mark was not reached until the end of June, according to IOM figures. The vast majority of the latest arrivals are from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq, IOM said.
In a separate statement, the United Nations refugee agency called on European countries to take a "unified approach" and denounced restrictions limiting access for asylum seekers, including some based on nationality. Referring to caps imposed by Austria and Slovenia, the UNHCR said: "These newest restrictive measures risk violating EU law and undermine efforts for a comprehensive and coordinated approach to deal with the refugee and migrant crisis in Europe.
Most of the refugees are fleeing war and persecution and deserve protection, including Syrian refugees from fierce fighting in Aleppo, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said in a statement. And yet, with every passing week, it appears some European countries are focusing on keeping refugees and migrants out more than on responsibly managing the flow and working on common solutions.
Last week Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia agreed to jointly profile and register refugees at the border between Macedonia and Greece, which had resulted in increased protection risks, UNHCR said. Austria and Slovenia's daily cap on asylum seekers and their joint restrictions with the other three countries had left nearly 700 people, mainly Afghans, barred from crossing from Macedonia into Serbia, UNHCR said.
Macedonia's own restrictions also left hundreds stranded at border crossings from Greece, where police started removing them on Tuesday, sources said. More than 410 have died so far this year at sea, mostly on the route from Turkey to Greece, the IOM said.

White House hints at ‘executive action’ to shut Guantanamo prison

The White House has refused to rule out the possibility of US President Barack Obama using an executive action to shut down the Guantanamo Bay prison if Congress continued to oppose his move to do so. I am not going to stand up here and unilaterally take any options off the table when it comes to the president’s use of his executive authority said White House spokesman Josh Earnest hours after Republican lawmakers rejected Mr Obama’s proposal to move the inmates to prisons on the mainland US. On Tuesday, President Obama announced a long-awaited proposal to close the US detention facility at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, arguing that the prison undermines national security and is contrary to American values.
He also said that extremist groups such as the Islamic State use the prison as a recruiting tool to foment hatred against the West. But Republican lawmakers, who control both chambers of the US Congress, have rejected his plan as vague and dangerous.Since it includes bringing dangerous terrorists to facilities in US communities, he should know that the bipartisan will of Congress has already been expressed against that proposal, said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, a Kentucky Republican. It is against the law  and it will stay against the law to transfer terrorist detainees to American soil.
We will not jeopardize our national security over a campaign promise,” said Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan. Responding to this outright rejection, the White House press secretary said he saw an emerging trend in Congress that has worsened in just the last few weeks. Congress is actually refusing to engage. They’re refusing to consider” plans and proposals put forth by the administration. White House aides, who briefed the media on Tuesday afternoon, rejected the Republican claim that their plan would bring dangerous criminals to the mainland.
They pointed out that less than 10 per cent of former Guantanamo detainees have gone back to militant activities. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, however, endorsed Mr Obama’s plan. Closing the detention facility at Guantanamo will strengthen our national security and affirm our values and laws, she said. It is disappointing that Republicans have worked to prevent the long-overdue closure of the Guantanamo facility. Civil liberties groups also have hailed the plan but said it was short of their expectations.
Anthony Romero, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union, said closing the facility would “erase the stain on America’s moral standing at home and abroad. But Mr Romero also said that the president’s decision to preserve military commissions to try the suspected terrorists is a mistake. The Guantanamo military commissions are an abject failure, he said. They have never worked, are not working and will never work. Another human rights group, Amnesty International, said in a statement, said it opposed the plan to keep the prisoners in continued detention on the mainland.
It won’t appease members of Congress who appear bent on making Guantanamo a permanent offshore prison for individuals captured in a global, apparently endless war. And it won’t end indefinite detention,  Amnesty said The Centre for Constitutional Rights, an organisation whose lawyers have represented multiple Guantanamo detainees, said the plan “does not ‘close Guantanamo,’ it merely relocates it to a new ZIP code. There are 91 detainees remaining at the facility, compared with more than 200 when President Obama took office. At its peak, the prison held nearly 800 detainees. The George W. Bush administration transferred more than 500 of them to other countries. Closing the prison would fulfill a pledge that Mr Obama made in his 2008 election campaign.

Apple chief calls FBI iPhone case 'bad for America'

Apple chief Tim Cook went public Wednesday in his battle with the Federal Bureau of Investigation  FBI saying that unlocking an iPhone in the name of fighting terrorism would be bad for America. He equated code capable of breaking into an iPhone to a software equivalent of cancer, that should never be unleashed on the world. This is not about this phone Cook said during a television interview with ABC News. This is about the future. It is a precedent that should not be done in this country, or in any country.
Apple is battling the United States government over unlocking devices in at least 10 cases in addition to its high-profile dispute involving the iPhone of one of the San Bernardino attackers, court documents show.  Cook maintained that the definite dangers of creating a way to crack into iPhone encryption trumped concerns about "something that might be there adding he felt Apple was making the right choice. Apple is being asked to write software that the company believes would make hundreds of millions of iPhones around the world vulnerable, according to Cook.
The only way Apple knows to get more information from Farook's iPhone would be to "write a piece of software that we view as the software equivalent of cancer. He argued that the FBI demand threatens to trample on civil liberties and starts down a slippery slope that could lead to other court orders such as building police surveillance capabilities into devices. It is clear that it can be a precedent, Cook said. If the government can order Apple to create such a piece of software, it could be ordered for anyone else as well. Cook planned to discuss the case with US President Barack Obama, and said his company was prepared to take the matter all the way to the Supreme Court.
We aren't protecting their privacy; we are protecting the privacy of everyone else. A physical key you could shred. A software key would stay living. He called for the case to be withdraw on the grounds that it is bad for America. Cook called for the clash to be settled by Congress passing law that clearly defines what private companies are required to do in such cases.Apple engineers are already working to raise iPhone defences to a level they could not be breached in the way the government is demanding in the San Bernardino case, the New York Times reported on Wednesday, citing sources close to the company and security experts.
Google chief Sundar Pichai on Wednesday added his voice to the ranks of Silicon Valley tech firms siding with Apple. When you create back doors it leads to very, very bad consequences which always ends up harming users, chief executive Pichai said during a conference at Paris's Sciences Po university, as he waded into the controversy.

Meanwhile, America's top spy said in a National Public Radio interview on Wednesday that he supports the FBI's side in the high-profile battle with Apple. Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan said the public would never accept criminals or terrorists having exclusive access to a physical storage box, and asked why an encrypted phone should be treated any differently.
